What is the Metabolic Balance program?

 

Metabolic Balance is a nutrition program that tailor makes its plans for you.

Your metabolism is involved in building and breaking down, in an array of different processes in your body. These processes are integral and when your metabolism is not working to its full potential your body will start to feel it. For every piece of food you eat, for every muscle you make or hormone you produce, your body’s metabolic pathways are at work. For these to function optimally your body also needs enzymes, cofactors and energy. Food is where we get the foundations for these so if you aren’t eating the right foods, your body will not only struggle to get what it needs from them, but the processes will also begin to struggle.

The concept that food can be your medicine is not a new one. That makes it no less true now than it was then. What you eat can cause havoc in the body and a once vital, energetic and healthy body can become dull, lethargic and fragile.

The basis of Metabolic Balance is to get your metabolism back in balance. Using wholefoods that have been specifically chosen for you and your body the aim is to get you back to feeling great and all the other benefits that come along with it.

What do we look at before you start your Metabolic Balance plan??

  • Blood Pathology

    We use a minimum of 35 blood parameters to assess nutrient and enzyme levels along with metabolic and organ functions. At times we may use additional testing if needed based on your specific needs.

  • Current Food Habits, Allergies and Intolerences

    We look at where you are currently with your nutrition and where you want to be. Any allergies or extreme dislikes are taken into account, but remember - Nothing changes if nothing changes.

  • Health History

    We assess your current and past health history to ensure that your plan is specifically based on you and your body.

  • Timing

    There are certain times that Metabolic Balance would not be the right fit for you. We want the best for you, and we want to make sure that the journey and outcomes are in your current best interests.

  • 1:1 Consultations

    Throughout 16 weeks you will get

    • 1 initial consultation (75-90 minutes)

    • 6 follow up consultation (45 minutes)

    • 3 phone call check-ins (for those times you really need to check something)

  • Individualised Metabolic Balance Nutrition Plan

    This is based solely on YOU!!! A list of foods that will optimize your nutrition to make the changes and get the results your looking for.

  • A Metabolic Balance Goodie Bag

    Filled with helpful tools to keep you on track with your program. Often includes water bottle, tote, magnets, shopping helper lists and some helpful ingredients to get you started.

  • Personalised 27 recipe ebook

    This is made especially for you based on your foods from your plan. It will give you a great starting point to come up with meals for each of your meal options.

  • Handouts and tips along the way

    As a Naturopath, Chef and Metabolic Balance Coach the program doesn’t start and finish with nutrition. We will go over other aspects of your health during our consultations also and where needed extra tips and tricks or recommendations will be given.
